B2B catalogue
About
Merkator International prints in Bijelo Polje and sells through shops in Podgorica. The plant runs offset printing, labels, and large-format signage, on 2,000 m². Business customers order labels, paper, posters, and signage.
Business need
Until 2024, a business order moved through a PDF, a phone call, or a spreadsheet. Prices changed often. A volume discount was agreed by hand. Sales spent hours checking stock across more than 500 products. Someone then retyped the order into the ERP, including the print spec and where it should ship. The customer could not see their own price and place the order.
What was delivered
Prome Solutions built the B2B catalogue. It is separate from the ERP already running in the plant. The customer uses the catalogue. The ERP is where the job is produced.
A customer searches by product, size, and paper, and sees the price on their account. Sales sets a customer group, and a discount on an item or on a volume tier. The cart becomes a work order in the ERP, with the print spec and the shipping details. The catalogue prepares the order confirmation and the artwork proof with that order.
The team adds a product when the line changes. Stock and the customer price stay in the ERP, so the print floor does not keep a second list.
Results
In the first 30 days, 70% of key accounts were ordering through the catalogue. Entering an order fell from 15 minutes to 2. Discount errors stopped. Sales spends that time on larger-format jobs instead of retyping product codes.
