HueKit was born from the need to streamline the repetitive process of building design system foundations from scratch. As an in-house product by Prome Solutions, it addresses a gap in the Figma ecosystem where designers spend hours manually creating color scales, checking contrast ratios, and setting up design tokens for every new project.

Designers consistently face the challenge of setting up design system foundations for every new project. Creating mathematically precise color scales, ensuring WCAG accessibility compliance, generating light and dark mode variants, and exporting tokens in developer-friendly formats is time-consuming and error-prone. The market needed a tool that could automate this entire workflow within Figma's native environment while supporting popular frameworks like Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, and Radix Colors.

Prome Solutions designed and developed HueKit as a Figma plugin that generates 11-step color scales with mathematically precise lightness progression, performs real-time WCAG AA/AAA contrast checking, and creates semantic color mappings for both light and dark themes. The plugin exports tokens as Figma Variables and in multiple code formats (JSON, CSS, SCSS). It ships with preset libraries for Tailwind CSS, Radix Colors, shadcn/ui, DaisyUI, and Material UI, plus pre-built starter components wired to generated tokens.

HueKit launched successfully as a freemium SaaS product with three pricing tiers. It enables designers to go from an empty Figma file to a production-ready design system foundation in a single click, dramatically reducing setup time from hours to seconds. The plugin serves junior to senior designers across the product design industry and continues to receive active development and updates.
